I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor day weekend! I can’t believe it took me until the last day of summer to remember I had a waterproof point and shoot camera! I was gifted a Pentax Optio wii camera years ago and had completely forgotten about it since I started learning digital DSLRs. I think it was one of the first “point and shoot” waterproof cameras ever made. I’ve been ogling underwater iphonography shots on Instagram all summer – specifically, @imoments and @michellenicoloff. They have some great water shots using the Lifeproof iPhone case. I was afraid to buy one because 1. I’m hoping to get the new iPhone 5 when it comes out this year and 2. I’d heard there were some cases where the lifeproof case leaked and phones were drowned! I was happy to discover this old camera sitting in a drawer yesterday. Along with some play with color in photoshop, here’s what I captured of my little mermaid…
